I wake up in Ulus, where I spent the last two nights. It looked like it was going to rain all day, but I only got four drops. Today was a day full of kilometers and unusual landscapes.

I left Ulus and passed through various mountain villages: Gakoy, Gokpinar, Sirinler, Yamanlar, Muratbasi, Karafasil, Azdavay, Kavakyayla, Daday, until I reached I reached the Kastamonu Mahmutbey Camii Mosque (Kasaba Köyü), protected by UNESCO. It is a 14th century mosque built entirely of wood. I was privileged to visit it because a family who was also contemplating it had asked for the keys to the next village to see it inside. The man was very kind and let me in!

After this visit, I went up the mountain. At the top, the mist reached me. I had a couple of stops along the way and had a look at the incredible scenery of this part of Turkey. It rained a bit on the way, I found some roads full of bars and even my quad got stuck in one of the holes. I used all my strength to keep going and I managed to get out of it.

Finally I reached the town of Merzifon where I arrived when it was almost dark, I found a hotel but they had no parking and I asked them if I could leave it in the reception. Once installed in the hotel I took a shower and finally went for a walk through the historic castle of the town, amazing!
