We started early from Niksar. My goal for today is to ride as many kilometers as possible, because I’m a little bit behind in my schedule. The whole day is waiting for me on a route through the mountains at quite a high altitude. The first problem I encountered on the route was the higher than usual fog. This meant that I had to look more carefully at where I was passing, because if I looked to the side I could not see anything at all.

I was guided by a few signs that I found. I passed Lake Limni and stopped for a steak and coke at the restaurant next to it. There I could have a rest and regain strength in case I had to camp in the middle of the mountain at night.

Following the planned route, I made my way to the top of the mountain, where the fog fortunately stopped. It was spectacular, with all the landscapes I saw and with the silence up there, I felt incredible.

The worst was when it was late and the first raindrops started to fall, it started to get cold because it was very windy and I even found snow. In this moment I was lucky to pass a small mountain village in the area of Dilaver Yaylasi and I found a shelter with a restaurant with the same owners. I stayed overnight and there was no hot water in the shower and no internet. Total silence and no connection… Incredible!
