Today I started the day with problems. I left the town of Zugdidi and ran out of gas, I had to turn around to look for a gas station, but the two I went to were abandoned, I arrived just in time to not get stranded!

Once I got the two cans of gas (which will give me 200 kilometers per can) I started the route. Today I drove the first and part of the second part of Georgia. Passing through places like Kortskheli, Chkaduashi, Paluri I came to historical monuments like Kolkheti Tower: a watchtower of the Middle Ages.

Once I passed the tower, the mountain route began, until then it was a road and flat. There I encountered more problems that prevented me from passing: rock slides in the middle of the pass. I have to say that the maps of the roof route of Georgia are not really up to date, because in the two days

I’ve been in this new country I’ve run into the end of the road more than four times. I had to turn around because I didn’t think it was possible to go through there.

Finally, I was able to go to the places I was missing: Khaishi, Nodashi, Kartvani and Mazeri. When I arrived at the last one, as it was early in the afternoon, I set out on one of the most difficult routes that I have done so far: to reach the Shdugra waterfall. I met many Russian and Georgian tourists on foot, but no vehicle, as the route was unstable, with a considerable slope and stony ground. I made it as far as I could and finally went back down to Mazeri where I met a Georgian family who had a Tall Rooms Guest House hotel and restaurant, very nice! If you need a place to stay in Mazeri, go there!
