A new day. I leave Mestia’s guesthouse. Today will be the last day I see her.

When I left, I went straight to have a good breakfast to get strength for the day. I started my route and decided to return to the village of Usghuli to go to Shkhara Galcier.

Yesterday I wanted to go to the foot of the glacier and take pictures for the memory. So I have been an hour until I have already followed my alternative route. Yesterday I found myself with a dead end route on one of the main tracks, so I had to look for an alternative route to reach my destination. I went through the Zagari Pass. A mountain route, easy and wide, but with the bad luck that the tracks were muddy and the quad sometimes slipped. Nothing I could not solve, but there were cars on the road that did not have the same luck as me and were trapped. After the pass I found a truck blocking the road because it had dropped its load.

When they let me pass, I drove along a road full of cows until I came to a house that had a 9-meter statue of the most famous Georgian of recent times: Iosif Stalin. It was placed in the middle of the garden and you could see it from far away as you walked along the road.

Finally, I followed the route through damp woods, with tall grasses and a very poorly maintained road. It had been a long time since anyone had been on this road, so I had a hard time finding the right path and it was getting dark. Then I decided to go to the next town to find a place to sleep, but I came to a river where I had to cross it, but due to the height of the water and the dirt I was carrying it was impossible. I decided to camp right there and tomorrow morning we will look for a solution.
