First day in Armenia, today’s goal is to reach the capital: Yerevan.

Yesterday I stayed in a hotel in Torosgyugh, it was quite badly maintained, but I had enough to sleep and have dinner. In the morning I went towards the capital and I found several mountain villages: Mets Sariar, Mets Manrash, Benfashen and Garnahovit. In this last village I was able to visit the church of Saint George. A well preserved church from the XVIII century.

The road between these villages were green esplanades of meadows with hardly any trees. I was very surprised that the shepherds I met and some people who were visiting Armenia were on the outskirts with their tents.

I was heading towards Mount Ararat. I didn’t have a specific route because it was not mentioned in the Tet application. I got lost several times and the road was difficult because the quad was quite unstable due to the stones and holes that showed that other vehicles had passed through it. In Aragat mountain, the goal was to go around it without deviating too much from the route I had taken before leaving home, and to be able to see the beauty of the mountain.

Finally, after a very hard but rewarding ride, I headed toward Yerevan, where I needed to find a restaurant for dinner and a hotel to sleep. Today was great!
